Hello, I'm Alice! I'm half South African, half German. I'm a Pilates and Vinyasa Yoga instructor as well as choreographer and dancer. I also teach Critical Thinking and Stress Management for high school students with Culture Prioritaire

My passion for movement, and my curiosity of the mind-body connection, have inspired me to enrich my practice and knowledge of these disciplines while training in Johannesburg, Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles. 

I have been teaching private, group as well as corporate classes since 2010.

I moved to Paris early 2018 where I now teach in French and English.

Pilates & Pilates Flow 

Pilates focuses on strengthening the core: the muscles of the abdomen, back, glutes and hips. These muscles are referred to as the ‘powerhouse’ and are the key to stability throughout any type of movement.​

Pilates Flow integrates Pilates exercises with the flow usually found in Vinyasa Yoga. This fusion allows you to work on strength, flexibility and breathing while moving continuously through choreographed sequences and fluid transitions. The whole body, as well as the mind, are harmoniously engaged in the movement.

Both Pilates and Vinyasa Yoga emphasise the mind-body connection, both develop strength and flexibility, and both leave you feeling centred, energised & calm. 

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic style of yoga that coordinates breath with the movements that transition the body into and out of asanas (yoga postures). This results in a cardio-vascular workout throughout which balance, stability and concentration are challenged.

 

A Vinyasa Yoga class is most suitable for those with a certain degree of strength and mobility.
